Behind Novi K9 is myself Rachael founder, dog trainer and nurse. Currently I have two dogs Lola and Lenny.

Growing up we always had animals. Our first family dog was a Boxer Bull mastiff cross, then a Boxer. Little Lola come not long after. Lola is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is now 11. She was a rescue dog who was used for fighting and bait. 

Lenny is an Old Tyme Bulldog who is now 6 years old. 

Like many, I had issues with my own dogs which embarked my dog training journey. I reached out to many trainers and behaviorists for help and each helped in their own way but the more we progressed the more we regressed. A little secret when we first started our training journey the more I disliked training and found it a chore. The direction of our journey changed when we found a training method that worked for us all. The more we all progressed the more I fell in love with training. 

I have shadowed different trainers to gain more knowledge and hands on experience. I then started to work alongside a trainer and started to take on my own clients. I worked with a number of different dogs, different breeds and a variety of behavioral issues. I have helped owners and dogs with issues such as lead pulling, settling, engagement, recall, play, reactivity both human and dog and handling issues.

We are always looking at improving our knowledge and skills to help clients. We have recently completed Revolution Dog Training's in person mentorship. We are also a part of monthly memberships.
